yep, more trees. 3 crops just cause it’s fun that way.

a poster i worked on for my daughter’s room (she’s 20 months old). type work with a little pattern’ed/retro flair. you know, it was just for fun. a larger crop below for some of the fine details.

another snow shot…really, REALLY, missing it. doesn’t happen but a few times per year in dallas. good news though, the forecast for later this weeks is for low’s of 24, 16 and 17 degrees…supposed to snow 2 of those days as well. sweet.

…he’s hung it up for the year

missing it already

i love tweed. it’s such a great fabric made famous/glamourous by coco chanel back in the day. this is another faux tweed design i’m hoping to print on a tee soon.

a couple of new photos – one is dear to me
i love the old, retro style look in photography so you’ll see it quite a bit in my photos. oh, i love mountains and trees as well.

i picked this book up the other day – a diary of photos one might call it – by the legendary marketer, stanley marcus (of neiman marcus)
it’s filled with wonderful photos of every day life…a small glimpse into his mind, if you will. i highly suggest picking it up if you’re a photography fan.
credit goes to stanley’s daughter jerrie marcus smith and granddaughter allison v. smith for putting the project together. allison happens to be an amazing photographer herself and a flickr friend of mine. check her work out here and here

chromeo’s night by night is my new anthem. i love these dudes – their whole new 80’s/techno/dance vibe is pretty sweet.
i’ll be bumping (listening at my computer) for at least another month straight.

some new photos i’d taken a few months back and did a little editing to.
i’ve been adding stuff to my flickr page, but would really like to keep more photography on display here as well.
new prints coming soon.

neiman marcus insite is what takes up most of my working hours during the day – just in case anyone was wondering. i handle the direction, design and flash. new issues come out every 2 weeks – between meetings and all the other wasting of time i do there isn’t a ton of time to finish each issue. sometimes it’s a blast and other times not so much.
*most of the images above link to their specific spreads*
that is all on insite for now.

a design i worked up almost a year ago now but still want to get printed up as a shirt. old school vibe with the faux tweed and (all) stars.

100th Anniversary Christmas Book cover design for Neiman Marcus. It was such an honor to be given the opportunity to design this.
I never posted proper images of this project so here are some a friend of mine shot for me.
here are 2 covers i always liked, but sadly, didn’t make the cut
